The following survey data was compiled over a six month period from patients throughout the United States.

Severity of Pain
Six months after spinal endoscopy patients reported their pain as being reduced from severe and very severe to mild.
Use of Strong (Schedule II) Narcotics
At six months, there was an 83% reduction in the use of strong narcotics.
Ability to Function
At six months, patients reported an average 30% increase in their ability to function. (Ability to function was determined by measuring criteria such as lifting light objects, sitting or standing more than 20 minutes, walking more than one block, driving or riding in an automobile.)
Emotions
Overall, there was an average decrease in negative emotions by 48%. (Emotional status was determined by asking patients if they feel worn out, hopeless about the future, and anxious and tense.)
Employment
At six months, there was a 29% decrease in patients employed with restrictions and a 77% decrease in patients unemployed because of pain alone.
Satisfaction
When asked if they were satisfied with spinal endoscopy, 29% of the patients strongly agreed and 34% agreed.
